Our spaces

The spaces at Becoming Education are created by listening to the children and their needs.

At the Bum Bum Nurseries, too, the spaces are designed to meet the changing needs of growing children: spending time together and enjoying moments of intimacy, moving about and resting, encountering something new and recognising what brings comfort.
In Monza, this idea takes shape in a smaller, more family-oriented setting, where children can experience the nursery as a single, interconnected environment that they can explore and get to know better and better.

In this way, the environment gives the children a sense of belonging to a unified world that they can explore with their eyes and their bodies, a world that becomes more familiar and easier to understand with each passing day.

There are places designed for socialising and others for intimate moments. Spaces that encourage movement and areas for resting. Settings that surprise and open up new possibilities, and familiar settings that offer reassurance and stability.

The garden

A garden is a living space that is constantly changing.

Here, children can explore, collect natural materials, observe, create, move about and try out sensory and motor activities. On mild days, the garden can also become a place to enjoy lunch outdoors.

Small vegetable patches allow children to get their hands dirty, sow seeds, watch the plants grow slowly and discover the link between what grows in the garden and what ends up on the table.
